Back to my old stomping ground... I headed back to my old stomping ground of St Mellion to play in their 2018 Pro-Am on Tuesday of this week. I played well shooting -1 71 gross finishing second. I thoroughly enjoyed the round with my team which included Rob Davey, John Chapman and our very own Yelverton lady Karen Friendship – our team scored 71 points. Looking forward to the first stage of The 2018 British Open qualifier which will be held at Minchinhampton Golf Club this coming Monday - Mr Steve Seward is on the bag #dreamteam. Lauren's corner What a fantastic week we have had in the shop, as Adam mentioned we have had a new delivery of stock. Our new rail was designed and constructed by the very talented Mr Martin Blampey - Thanks Martin, proper Job! Despite the dreich weather (very Scottish word), it was lovely to see such a great turn out for Men’s Medal and Merrivale Cup. I must say I admire the Yelvy Golfers determination. Even after a 40-minute fog delay, our boys put those waterproofs back on and headed out to complete their round of golf. Now that’s dedication! Our Ladies Three Ball Betterball Open takes place on Monday. Matt and myself will be in the shop as Adam will be away competing in The Open Qualifier. We have a full field and should be a great day for the Ladies, fingers crossed for the weather! |
