Ladies Stableford Congratulations to Jackie Moir who won the Ladies Stableford on Thursday 7th February with 30 points. Dare I say, it may be something to do with the top class coaching she has had been receiving recently from a certain Yelverton Pro! In second place was Sally Hills with 29 points. Annette Sweeney was third with 28 points. |
The Famous Grouse On Saturday, The Famous Grouse was played. Mike Harding and Nick Arundel took first place with 38 points. Second place went to Tony Richardson and Barry Garland with 36 point and in third place with 34 points were Stewart Bazneh and Martin Garner. There was only one two scored by Seb Treglown and Ross Northey scooping £73.50 each! It pays to enter twos people!

Massive congratulations to Tia Kowalski who won January’s Junior of The Month and was presented with her certificate. Tia Injured her toe a few months ago, but this didn’t stop her coming out through January and giving it her all. You go girl! |

Adam's news Lauren, Bobby (the dog) and I headed down to St Ives on Monday for ‘family day’. The weather was kind to us and we enjoyed walking around the town and along the beach. I haven’t been to St Ives in years, the last time was for millennium New Year dressed as Bob the Builder…I’ll leave you with image.

Lauren's corner I enjoyed a fantastic day out last Thursday with Gina Mason and Jane Hulbert. Although, the golf was nothing to shout about, I thoroughly enjoyed the company, I made a new furry friend too. |
Looking forward to playing in today’s Stableford With Angela Read and Di Friend.

New Rules for 2019……this weeks featured rules for you!
Prompt Pace of Play (again) - it is recommended that you take no longer than 40 seconds to make a stroke (usually you should be able to play more quickly than that) - Rule 5.6b. Ready Golf in social golf and stroke play competitions is Yelverton GC policy. Please follow this code. Free relief is allowed if your ball is embedded on the fairway or in the rough (but “embedded” means that part of your ball is below the level of the ground) - Rule 16.3.
If you accidentally move your ball when searching for it, replace it on its original spot without penalty - Rule 7.4.

More and more golfers are placing their trust in GPS equipment to help them on the course, providing key yardages to hazards and greens on every hole. If you’re yet to take advantage of this technology then you really are missing out, so here are a couple of our favourite products for you to cast an eye over... |
| Garmin Approach S10 Watch | This is the perfect accessory to help you get your exact yardage to the green with nothing more than a glance at your wrist. Sleek, lightweight and comfortable, the S10 GPS watch provides yardages to the front, back and middle of the green on over 41,000 courses worldwide, on top of hazards and doglegs, giving you all the key information you need to play better golf. |
| Garmin Approach G80 Device | Now this is something special. The Approach G80 is a handheld GPS device that gives you colour maps of every hole as well as key distances to greens and hazards. In addition, its integrated Launch Monitor not only tracks key data such as clubhead speed and estimated distance, but it comes with four game modes to enhance your practice time at the range. |
