Men’s Stableford In Division 1, Clive O’Sullivan took 1st place with 40 points, in 2nd place was Sean Carter ocb with 40 points and in 3rd place was Joel Bate with 38 points. In Division 2, David Hyslop was 1st with 39 points. A close 2nd was Mark Owen-Jones with 38 points and in3rd place was Lee Hocking with 37 points. In Division 3, Darren Parr scooped 1st place with 38 points, 2nd place was Barry Garland with 36 points and in 3rd place ocb was John Lidstone with 36 points. Finally, in Division 4, Chris Pearson took 1st place with a fantastic 42 points, 2nd place was Glenn Hosking with 37 point and ocb was Daniel White in 3rd place with 37 points.

Midweek Stableford
Our members contended with heavy downpours to play in the weekly Midweek Stableford. Congratulations to Cody Petherick who took top spot with 40 points.
Cody recently joined Yelverton Golf Club and is going from strength-to-strength. In 2nd place was Andrew Cowles with 37 points and in 3rd place ocb with 37 points is David Parlby. |
Lady Captain's Day
29 of our Yelverton Ladies made their way to Lanhydrock last week to play in the Lady Captain's Away Day.
Despite some pretty horrendous weather, our girls managed to get 18 holes in on the Sunday and Monday and listening to some of the stories, it was a pretty fun outing had by all.
Well done Lady Captain, Sue Gullick, for organising such a great few days. |
Vet's Away Day
Our Vets enjoyed a few days away at Carlyon Bay, despite the atrocious weather on the Thursday and the howling gale on the Friday!
It was one of our octogenarians, Brian Medhurst, who was in the winning pair on both days playing with John Pascoe on the Thursday and Ken Grant on the Friday.
Brian’s handicap increased last Wednesday from 21 to 22 making him a force to be reckoned with and he also took ‘nearest the pin’ on the 18th on Thursday.

The other side of the pond...
Not so much of a junior now but our girl, Caitlin Evans-Brand, is making headlines stateside by breaking through to the top 1000 world rankings with her most recent 2 performances. |
Caitlin, who last year made her way to America to follow her golfing dreams, is showing them just what a Yelverton Girl can do.
Her most recent 3 day tournament saw her shoot 208 which is the second best 54 hole score in Coastal Carolina Woman’s Golf History.
With her fantastic attitude and great support from her family not to mention super talent, I’m sure this girl will be up there with the best soon.
