We have everything crossed to get this weekends competition played. The playing surface will certainly be at the mercy of the weather but Garry is confident the course is up to it! Can we please ask that any of you able to carry, then do so. Those golfers who need to use electric trolleys then please take care where you take them and try to avoid the fairways and wet spots where you can. As we come closer to the end of the year, qualifying competitions will be harder to run due to what nature throws at us. We will however do our best to run as many competitive, fun competitions to see us through till spring as we can! We should be proud of the course we have here at Yelverton and all do our bit to ease it through the winter period to take us through to hopefully a great COVID free summer! For casual golf it would be great to see as many of you using a fairway mat as possible, this isn't compulsory but would give us a much better playing surface come April! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members for their understanding this year! It has been a very challenging year for everyone and also a very frustrating one! The game we all love has been rationed by this virus but hopefully we are coming towards the end of the tunnel. Finally i would like to say thank you to all the volunteers over lockdown who gave their time to do some course maintenance (in a safe manner), Garry is delighted with the tasks that were completed and everyone certainly helped the green staff who were operating on a limited team. Keep everything crossed for some reasonable weather this weekend. Adam
